Practice Positive Thoughts!

Updated: May 6

How many times have you heard yourself say things like.

  • I’m not really a proper cyclist.

  • I’ll never be thin

  • I’ll never be able to cycle that far

  • I’ll never be able to cycle as fast as them

  • I’ll don't have time

Stop the negative thinking and start believing in yourself. If you don’t then no one else will.

Why Practice Positive Affirmations

You can use positive affirmations that are positive statements to overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. When you repeat them often, and believe in them, you can start to make positive changes.

How to Practice Positive Affirmations

The aim is to be present with your goals in any given moment. The best time is to start engaging with your positivity first thing in the morning. Without the right preparation they are not going to come to you in the time you wake up and get on with your day. So take the following steps

  • Write down your goals.

  • Write down what you need to achieve to get there.

  • Reward yourself when you reach certain milestones

  • In the morning, perhaps over a coffee tell yourself what you have achieved and remind yourself how you can do it.

It may feel strange to start, but these positive thoughts are the ones that will make you take action.

Positive thoughts are the ones that will make you take your bike out when you are tired. Positive thoughts will stop you from going back to bad habits.

Positive thoughts will make you believe in yourself.
