Why Do You Always Feel Better After a Ride?

Do you often have that feeling that you just do not have the energy to get out on your bike and then you get home feeling full of energy, your worries have disappeared and you are happy and content. Why is this?


When you exercise your body released endorphins they are considered natures painkillers. They bring about feelings of euphoria and wellbeing as well as highlight the reward circuit in your brain.


These endorphins are release by your blood flowing and can also help you in combating stress. Low levels of serotonin and norepinephrine that are released during exercises can be linked with depression.


Sometimes we like the feeling of suffering and have a great sense of relief after a great workout, like all our small worries don't really matter and we can overcome anything.


If we get outdoors, just being in nature has a calming effect on us and a change of scenery always gives a great perfective.
