Do You Invest in Yourself?

From talking to so many women about pursuing their cycling goals, I get a lot of women who feel reluctant to invest in themselves. Spending time and money on themselves brings up feelings of guilt, as they are not worthy of such things.

Investing in your physical and mental wellbeing is the best investment that you can give to yourself, your family and your professional life. For your chance to be the best version of yourself you can't be giving to others without building your own strengths first.

Here are a few great reasons to invest in yourself:

  1. You can be a great role model for your kids. I'm sure that you want the best for your kids. You want them to lead active and fulfilling lives. Show them the way and let them lead by example.

  2. Cycling can give you valuable me time. It can be a great opportunity to reflect during difficult times. In addiction it can help you connect with you more creative side as you can reach your flow state.

  3. The cycling community can be very sociable and provide you with a great support network on and off the bike.

  4. Many of us love to set challenges in cycling which means overcoming barriers, this can make us physically and mentally more resilient to take on challenges that life throws at us.

How you can invest in yourself.

  1. Make time for yourself to do the things you love.

  2. If you don't think that you have time to train, get a coach. Our coaches will help motivate you and work will you to fit the training into your lifestyle.

  3. Set yourself some goals and work towards them. The process is so rewarding to you and also make others around you proud.

  4. Don't feel guilty about investing in yourself and prove that it's making you a stronger person.
