Previously this week I discussed the benefits of cycling through the winter. One of which myself and I know others experience is a great boost for your mental health.

I love the feeling on rolling on the bike feeling wind in my face. I find that the change of the seasons is just pleasurable to stop and observe, it reminds me that everything is always changing, nothing lasts forever and we can't control everything.
Cycling provides a great environment for us to push our boundaries as it takes us out of our everyday lives in a physical and emotional sense.
There are many health benefits from being in nature, or even viewing scenes of nature. It reduces anger, fear, and stress and increases pleasant feelings. Exposure to nature not only makes you feel better emotionally, it contributes to your physical wellbeing, reducing blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and the production of stress hormones. I think it will make me live a happier life and there are studies to say that just being in nature may even help you to live longer.
